Boston (January 27, 2022) - Boston public media producer GBH has been recognized by the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) in three categories at the 53rd Annual Public Media Awards. The annual event recognizes the highest caliber work in the public media system, as judged by a group of panelists working within the public media system and their industry peers.

NOVA, which is produced by GBH and is the most-watched prime time science series on American television, was recognized for innovation in education for NOVA Science Studio. NOVA’s first youth program, it empowers students with the skills to tell engaging stories about the science issues that matter to them through short-form video.

WORLD Channel, a GBH-produced 24/7 network that shares news, documentaries and other non-fiction programming with 194 public media member stations, was recognized for its podcast series, Stories from the Stage: The Podcast.Building on the success of its award-winning multiplatform Stories from the Stage series, the new podcast features the most memorable stories from the show along with behind-the-scenes interviews and the “next chapter” of what happened once storytellers left the stage. Stories from the Stage, now in its fifth season, spotlights powerful, multicultural storytellers who explore similarities and celebrate our differences during these divisive times.

Career Hacks, a 10-episode GBH digital series exploring the challenges of navigating the workforce in the midst of a global pandemic, was also recognized for its timely COVID-19 content.
